Well after 4 days in court the magistrate has reserved his decision saying that because both parents had played a major role in the upbringing of the children that it presented a uniquness to this court that he has not yet seen.

I personally didn't think it was so unique that a dad stayed at home raising the kids however.......

I realised on the third day of court that trying to fight for residency was killing me, what i needed to fight for was equality in time spent with both parents.

I have fought as hard as i can and now theres nothing more i can do. I have to say a bit of weight has been lifted from my shoulders and now it's just a matter of waiting and i may well have to wait for up to 3 months. In the mean time i'm just trying to inject a little bit of normality back into life.

I've decided that if time spent with both parents is equal and she ends up with residency then i can accept that even if i have to move. If however i end up retaining residency and time is even then it's the icing on the cake.

I wonder if the judge thinks it is unique - Or he's just surprised that this is the hardest call that he's had to make in a case where the mum's influence or care for the child is at such a minimum, that he has yet to make a call on........

I'll be buggered - Instead of deciding on the best interests of the child and awarding extra visitation in favour of the dad..............He may even have to decide on what access time to award to the mother.

You are dead right mate - That judge is in unfamiliar territory.

Good onya......!!!!!!!!

I hope wisdom abounds as thhe magistrate reviews the evidence.

Please let us know what the decision is.
