Just for a bit of a vent, I always knew most FC lawyers like to rest on their laurels somewhat, but heres an experience just to relay and vent a little-

My lawyer never sent out sealed copies of the final orders it is over a year later and they're nowhere to be seen. I rang him up about a month or two ago and asked if he could send out a copy, he said he would, took my address, but its never showed up.

Since then he is completely uncontactable, all his lines aren't answering, emails being returned- its like hes no longer practising.

So now I've gotta go down to the FC and pay $15 for my own court order. The worst part is finding a car park and the change for the meter, lol.

But really its just totally slack for a lawyer not to veven bother sending out an order. What are these people actually paid for?

Don't take any shit from incompetent lawyers. Contact your state Legal Services commission and file a complaint with them.
You just never know perhaps somebody else has complained about the idiot lawyer.
If you get no joy there and you have absolutely nothing to lose then take the idiot to court off your own back.
The more individuals that take affirmative action against lawyers the sooner the government will adequately regulate the legal profession. Something along the same lines as the medical profession.
