There's no doubt parental alienation exists.

I have been the target of it for over 15 years now. Not the victim - my daughter has been the victim and it's about to reach it's culmination as she turns 18 on Saturday - but the target.

However, "Parental Alienation Syndrome" or "PAS" as a recognised condition is still highly contraversial so it's best to stay away from those terms in any legal proceedings.

That said, there are a number of sites that offer more support or informattion in this area:

Once you are clear if it is indeed PAS or not, try and differentiate.

PAS is frownd upon by Australian Family Law and not accepted as a true condition.

Alienation however and deliberate alienation can be dicsussed and talked about through your court prep albeit tread carefully. Judges and the family law system is getting smothered with this type of discussion and you will need substantial evidence to back up accusations about the topic.

I was a victim of deliberate alienation and luckily did not have to raise the issue in court as the trivial content from my ex brought our conflict to an end.

Tread carefully and do your homework, mothers and solicitors know of the negativity surrounding this topic and sometimes deliberately alienate to take advantage.
