Is anybody willing to express idea's of hopefully making progress on a new tact;
I know that there are a lot of dad's whom have pretty much lost everything and have had to start again including myself.
What my theory is, if a group? or co-op? looked into the possibility of building donga's to start re-housing disposed dad's to give them dignity
and help the community.
I base this on the fact I'm a tradesman with 20yrs mining experience and see an oppurtunity.
Now there is a lot of fine tuning required but essentially the theory is house Dad's in a say mine camp envoirment whilst building donga's for mining company's as there is a large demand.
Some sort of sponsership and donation's would be required intially but the basis would to become self-sufficent and disposed dad's could house there childern and earn an income? or trust?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Looking toward's the future.

Hi Rusty, that is actually something I have been thinking about for some time now. I have a few ideas running round in my head, but they involve winning lotto sadly..... But I was thinking along the lines of setting up small communities such as half a dozen houses on block but this was not revolving around doing it as a work venture.

There is an organisation called Habitat for humanity (or something very similar) where they do some sort of ballot to build a house. The "winners" of the ballot have to pitch in to help to build the house but stuff is supplied.

I wonder if Men's Sheds would be able to offer some advice. They are being set up throughout the country as a meeting place for men.

But how many would be able to have their children out in a mining area. Because some of those places can be a bit remote. Having said that though, how many dads have had their children removed to mining towns because the ex has hooked up with a miner? Happened to us. We can't afford to move.
