I picked up my son & daughter from kindy today and i was shocked to see that the X had given my Son a haircut with clippers...ok not so bad, hell i've done it too in the past however i at least made sure the job was done properly and the hair all the same length.. in short it looked 'rough'.

Then he turns around and she had shaved a big 'F' in the back of his head Shocked Like what the hell does this 'F' stand for? was it some sort of humiliating punishment for him? I asked him and said it was for 'Ford'.......... for crying out loud, not only did she do a lousy job but she has made a point of making an example out of him....am i over reacting? i have no idea but i felt a lot of anger driving home.

I fixed up the rest of his head properly so it's all even and matching but still left with this 'F'.....i took pictures prior to fixing it as evidence, for what i dont know yet but i do have them.

Teh sad thing is for the past 3 weeks she has been talking and 'nice' & then she does this which she knows will tick me off...do i take action for what she has done to him or what Confused I'm going to ask her tonight to refrain from silly haircuts for him but fear it's just going to unsettle things again

Hey Paul

Thats some weird S$%#.
One of the things that irritated my X was when she did things to get at me I had little reaction unless it effected my daughter. A lot of the stuff irritated the absolute bujunkies out of me but had little effect on my daughter. The X would do things like send my daughter to her home with me with a jacket sprayed thick with her perfume to sleep with, then told my daughter that this would help her get to sleep easier while she was at Daddies. Yeah right it would be more effective to establish a bedtime routine when she was at mums. The invasion into my home was offensive to myself but my daughter was comforted for a month or so till she grew tired of it. I also washed the jacket everytime it came down because the perfume hid a bad smell.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that sometimes it is better to ignore the intended trigger and simply ask how your son felt about it all. then let him know you had to finish the job properly.
I know some of the boy's in my daughters class have their hair cut short because of lice, so there may be an alternate reason as well.
Good Luck with your decission
I hope others post, the more opinions you get the easier it will be
