Has dids considered organising protests outside every states Parliament house on the same day demanding changes in the CSA? I know it is a big thing to organise but I can imagine alot of people would show up. Something needs to be done about the CSA ruining so many peoples lives.
If it is ignored then you organise another one and another one until the government do something about it. They cant ignore it if it is on their door step and on the news. I think it would be worth doing Cool Dude

Hi notfair , mikestech0 ,groldol,

Yes , it can be most frustrating to say a short amount , and you each can bear testimony to that fact.

And often unfair as it can be , protesting has shown that it doesn't bring good results, but does make one feel like something might happen. And it usually does. But short lived, nor do we want to have to contact you in jail, prefer the freedom out here.

The people we want to speak with won't take appointments for our protests, so one is never sure if they're home.
But angry you have a right to be , and seeing myself from where we have come from sitting with 10 men on a verandah, we have made deep inroads into the established disorder to bring about a resemblance of order, and bring further the unseen often ,...fight that is going on in DIDS all around the country.

Yes , unfortunately Roman wasn't Governed any better, and in fact worse. Stick with it guys and keep on posting here to give us all some encouragement to press on for everyone.

My very best regards for you each

Colin

Benjamin Franklin once said, "A mob's a crowd. Heads enough but no brains".

I still believe the pen's mightier than the sword. I also believe this website creates a lot more noise, draws more attention, and longer lasting than an angry crowd.

Marital and De Facto Separation Study Paid for your say !

A way to have your say without marching anywhere. This research brings results. Sure it can be slower than marching, yet we have been doing well connecting with Studies and having their feedback brought to bear in the right channels. cs

Please read and give it a fair hearing, and act as you see best.

Funded by the Australian Research Council (ARC), 2005-2008
Marriage or De Facto separation can be extremely stressful and often causes significant emotional distress. It has also been reported that the separation process plays an important role in the development of suicidal behaviours. However little is known about what causes the most distress and at what point during the separation process. This information is crucial for the development of appropriate support for people who are going through separation.

The Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention (AISRAP), Griffith University is conducting a study which looks at the impact of separation on men’s psychological health and development of suicidal behaviours. This study has ethical clearance from the Griffith University Human Ethics Committee (CSR/03/04/HREC).

Who can participate?
Males and females currently residing in Australia
Separating Males and females aged 18 years or older
Persons separated from their partner (marital or de facto) within the last 18 months
Persons not yet divorced
If you are not separated, but know someone who meets this criteria, please forward the study details to them!

I think along the way that manipulation and infultration of many peaceful protests has been used to the advantage of those who appose furtherment of many causes.

It not just the radical eliment that has to be thought of but also those who's intension is to sabotage the rightful cause.

Then of course you have the darlings of public perception " The Media " which may swing either way depends on what they think will best sell to their clients " The advertisers " ballanced of course with the secondary client " Their customers ".

I'm not sure these days if Rallies command the same amount of public outcry for a cause as they use too. Alternatly the more people who get involved in participating in these poles and studies help work towards increasing public awareness of certain causes.

We have major campaigns against violence towards women yet limited about violence towards children and even less about violence towards men.

There are many cases where mothers have accussed fathers of being the perpitrator of sexual abuse against their children only to find out that it is a weapon of choice used against the dad and the fact is that the mums are physcologicaly abusing their children. Yet studies are still being quoted that are out of date or include a demographic that the government knows there is a problem but refuses to intervene as we have seen in the far north.

The more we open eye's to fact by participating in requests for information the more we help the future of our children and their children.

Although a protest that is backed by the media and suported by public opinion will indeed do wonders for any cause.

One thing remains, while waiting for the process put pen to paper and make a difference in the mean time.

Peace.
